While it would be absurd to suggest that family doctors should be aware of the more obscure side effects of all the drugs they prescribe, this situation is rather different. Bendroflumethiazide is one of the commoner drugs prescribed for raised blood pressure and it is well known to cause diabetes in almost 10 per cent of those taking it. So for her family doctor to fail to make the connection is definitely a bit odd. She did the sensible thing and binned her pills. Gratifyingly, her “diabetes” has since cured itself, and for good measure, her blood pressure has also remained satisfactory.
Even though Jones’ (21-1-1 MMA, 15-1-1 UFC) win over Daniel Cormier (19-1-1 MMA, 8-1-1 UFC) was overturned today by the California State Athletic Commission, he is still entitled to due process in the “results management” portion of his case with both CSAC and USADA. He can decide whether to dispute the findings, or accept them and plead for leniency. His reps have all but declared he will do the former, using the same defense he did when a pre-fight drug test revealed the presence of two banned estrogen blockers known to work in tandem with steroids.
Hi Micky, I just found you in the spam comnments, which I rarely look at since they are normally people like ‘porn star babes’ or ‘hot and horny’. Imagine my surprise on finding you there! Great comments. I am going to look into Vitamin D and check out that cream, AND read your article about eczema creams. I a lot of them aren’t great. I think mine contains SLS but I find nearly everything else will irritate my skin, I’m so sensitive. Aloe vera is great but not moisturising enough. Thank you so much for sharing and so glad I found this! You are doing great with the links too. Blogs are all about sharing so keep em coming. Thanks again Micki. Ruth. PS. I am much better. A few stubborn patches but I’m sleeping again (what a relief) and much less itchy and stressed out.
